Choosing Time - Learn by Play
Following the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, we believe in learning through exploration, creativity, fun and play.
Each day our lovely open space is filled with lots of exciting activities inside and out!
Encouraged and supported by their key person, the children are free to move between each activity exploring, creating and having lots of fun.
Get Ready for School
Phonics, letters, numbers and more... Our links to Woods Foundation School and focus on helping our children learn all the skills they'll need to take their next step into School are factored into our planning and activities.
Why choose Woodborough Village Preschool
Children's learning is planned, delivered and evaluated to ensure purposeful learning and experiences filled with awe and wonder. This enables them to become confident, independent and creative learners who are able to guide their own learning through play. The children are observed to ensure their learning builds on the interests, skills and knowledge they already possess - from here next steps are put in place to positively interest and challenge the children. This is all recorded and parents are able to contribute to their child's learning journey, through the Famly App.

Woodborough Village Pre-school was established in 1974 - we have supported the development and happiness of generations of children.
Our fantastic Pre-school is a unique setting, we are a community group with charitable status managed by a voluntary Committee, made up mostly of parents/carers of children attending.
We are a registered charity and are members of the Early Years Alliance. We're proud to have been inspected by ofsted in March 2023 and have achieved a GOOD rating under the new updated criteria.. you can view our full report here.
