Special Needs (SEND) Support
We have a trained and experienced SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) with over 15 years in the role, as well as a qualified SENCO preschool manager. This ensures that experienced staff are always present to support children with additional needs.
Our SENCO works closely with children, families, and key workers to identify and respond to each child’s individual needs. This includes observing, tracking, and implementing strategies, as well as making referrals where necessary. We also work with external agencies such as specialist nurses, Early Years teachers, schools, and Families Specialist Services to ensure children’s needs are fully met before they start school.
Regular meetings are held to review progress and set goals in partnership with parents. Early intervention is key to ensuring the best outcomes for every child.
Our setting can offer:
- Makaton signs and symbols
- Visual aids for understanding and communication
- Sensory experiences for regulation and stimulation
- Differentiation strategies to ensure inclusion
